Archive for December, 2007

Not more than a year ago…

As a series of recollection of the year that has gone by, I’d post monumental blog entries that I’ve made for the past year.

This one is monumental because it’s the first blog post for the year 2007.

You wanna know who’s pathetic? Lito Atienza and his crazy antics. I’m sitting here, enjoying my comfy Saturday morning when I accidentally surfed through his show on a local network and what do I see? Two men dressed in flower-clad polos fooling the nation with their moronic pursuits.I mean, what’s with dressing up your son the same way you do? Will that fool the voters into thinking, “Hey, that looks like him! Maybe he acts like him too, let’s vote for him!” I mean, duh, I don’t believe making your son dress up like you is gonna win him elections. Poor boy, I don’t even think he knows a zilch about politics, yet he’s dragged into this whole circus of freak shows. I hope he doesn’t win, it’s for his own future.

And the same goes for all the stupid politicians and non-politicians out there who are aiming to run for the upcoming elections, thinking we haven’t learned from our previous mistakes. We have, fools, we’re not gonna elect yet another set of stupid morons up there in Congress! Huh! After what you’ve done, lambasting our Constitution, saving a dumbass president’s ass from getting ousted and whatnots, hey, it’s payback time you trapos!!!

It’s gonna be the dawn of a new age come May 14. I registered, and I will damn hell vote. IF I find my name in that damn voter’s list, but let’s save that for another post.

Happy New Year All! =)

Aaaaaanddd Scene.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New Year. New Home.
New Me? We’ll see.
Just you wait.

Security

I have two law students for housemates and that makes me feel so secure because that means nobody can bully me just like that. LOL. You need to have good defenders in order to win every legal battles out there.

Like when a cousin of mine went to Texas and he figured in a vehicular accident, he needed to enlist the help of an austin car accident lawyer to win the legal debacle. They went through a lot of hoops and loopholes and thank God my cousin won the case, because that’d cause him lots of munnies if he didn’t.

Make sure to get a good lawyer for your protection today!

Short but Sweet (The Christmas Post)

Merry Christmas to all! I’ve got no time to make a decent blog post yet so suffice to say I guess this should be enough for now. I’d be updating this post tomorrow or when I have time to tell you of how my Christmas went, even if I didn’t feel it ’til a few hours before the actual day itself.

Hope you’re having a grand time in your place! Merry Christmas to all! =)

Who wanna play Backgammon?

When we were young my brother received a gift for his birthday, and we had the strangest look at it.  It was a board game with triangles and reds and black and stuff.  We didn’t know what it is, much less have the idea how to play it.  It was backgammon.

If you want to play online backgammon,  then click the link to get your dash of backgammon online.  They offer news and updates on the latest backgammon tournaments plus they offer game-like softwares to play backgammon for the money or just for fun.  Ain’t that convenient?

Now to go figure how to play that darn thing…

Poker, Anyone?

I don’t really play Poker (because I don’t really know how to) but if you’re an avid Poker player then why not try MagicHoldem.com? Simply put, the site gives you the opportunity to view poker odds and acts as your personal little poker calculator to gauge your winnings or possible losses. I think this is a great idea and it’s not gonna kill me to say that their site’s design and framework is a killer as well!

So hop on over to MagicHoldem.com now, try their holdem calculator and get Poker rich!!! =P

The Perfect Gift: Travel!

I believe one of the best gifts this season would be the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world!  Seeing sights halfway across the globe is truly an enriching experience that I’m sure everyone would be delighted to indulge in.

So why not give hubby or wifey the chance to see the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Big Ben or the canals of Venice?  It’s the best gift to give anyone this season, and since it’s the end of the year it’ll be yet another highlight to put in one’s own personal wrap-up of the year!  So why not welcome 2008 with a smile on your faces, huh?

To guide you through your travel, pick out any choice destinations, making sure of the date, time, availability of flights, tours and Hotel Reservations.  To help you out on the latter part, there’s Hotel Reservations available on the net!  You can choose from Asian Hotels, Italy Hotels, Australia Hotels, England Hotels and a whole lot more!  Why trouble yourself with the burden of finding hotels when you get to your destinations when you can book one online?  Surely saves you the hassle and gives you more time to enjoy the sights and places in any of the countries you’re visiting.

And in addition to that, you can also use the site’s City Guide to research and plan for your trip!  If you can’t afford expensive tours around the famous tourist spots, why not go there yourself?  Surely the experience is the same and the adventure will be more than exciting, don’t you think?  I’m sure there are kind people to help you around when you get lost.  But for the most part, the risk of going your own way and finding things out for yourselves will truly be worthwhile.

So get up out of that seat already and start planning your next trip!  2008 is coming and surely the vacation week will open more time and opportunities for travel.  Happy New Year!  =)

Donate your Boats!

Christmas has just ended but its spirit usually lingers long after it’s done.  And in the Philippines, it lingers even more because traditionally it extends to as late as the third week of January in anticipation of the feast of the Three Kings.

And while the Spirit of giving, sharing and  selflessness is still ripe in the air, why not participate in some charities or give donations to the needy?

One such way to do that is through BoatAngel.  Simply put, BoatAngel accepts Boat Donations from all around the globe, sells them on eBay and puts up the money for donation for the purpose of creating Free DVDs of Christian lessons for Children.  Isn’t that such a noble cause?  Charity Boat Donations will definitely prove how well you know the spirit of this season.

I browsed the net and stumbled upon one of the videos that they did (unfortunately it’s in Spanish), so go take a look for yourself:

So, if you have spare or broken boats lying around (paper boats don’t count, unfortunately), why not give them as a donation to Boat Angel and help children learn the words of God?  Surely your small act of kindness will go a long, long way.  =)

Dining Under the Crescent Moon

It was a bright albeit chilly Wednesday morning when we trooped to the misty hills of Antipolo to discover a secret garden known only to some as… The Crescent Moon Cafe!

100_3806.JPG

It wasn’t just an ordinary and impulsive trip to the high mountains, because this little sojourn is a part of our requirement in Feature Writing where we need to review the restaurant. Now if only all school requirements are like these, I wouldn’t mind getting buried under tons of Academic work at all!

Before we proceed, let’s meet our tour guide for the day (who’s up and just about ready to give out precious info and facts about the Crescent Moon Cafe), the alluring… seductive… funny… gorgeous… the one… the only… Kumiko! (Haha, let’s all hope she doesn’t stumble upon this blog).
