Have you joined SocialSpark yet?

Hey there, dear readers!  Here’s a new Social Networking site for you to steadily glue your eyes upon: SocialSpark!  Basically it’s a Social Networking Site from the guys who brought you PayPerPost.  And yes, you can earn quick cash through Social Spark as well.  I believe what they did is that, since they recognized the power of the community of the posties in PPP, they wanted that community to build upon solid and genuine relationships (not just as online buddies who do Sponsored Posts, which this one is, by the way), so they jumped on the idea and out comes SocialSpark!

If you’re not there yet, you may want to check out some profiles, like this of Ed Nanquil’s.  I guess it doesn’t hurt to say that the design of the site is quite easy on the eyes, and it’s very easy to navigate.  The colors aren’t too straining, although some of the elements are a bit too big for comfort.  In any case, I guess those are minute details they can work upon in the future.

So, want to earn cash while making friends?  Join SocialSpark now!  You’ll never know what kinds of different opportunities may come your way.  =)

Werdow

The next several weeks are going to be hectic, in a word. Haggard, if you may. That’s the main reason why I haven’t been blogging lately. And I can’t promise myself to blog often during those hectic days. Oh well, that’s the life of a student. Furthermore, my UP Planner has become my trusty chronicler lately, so whatever I want to say, I put there.

In any case, this serves as an advance warning for the coming whiplash. See you after the long lull. =) Hope you’re still there.

Rodeo, Rodeo!

Here’s my cousing Remy’s account of what they witnessed during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (also known as the NFR) when they watched it last year:

I remember it very clearly.  We were seated at the third row from the main “arena.”  There were a lot of people clamoring for the start of the rodeo show.  Minutes later, the cowboys started to come out and bam!  It was crazy as hell.  There was a good view from where we were seated and we could see all the action going on in the arena.  The cowboys were pretty skilled with their horses and lasso.  I remembered Indiana Jones all of a sudden, hehe.   Too bad a rider got injured when he fell of his (high) horse after showing off for the crowd, good thing he only suffered minor injuries.  Anyway, I enjoyed the show also because we got the NFR Tickets for free!  Yay.  My uncle works for the NFR, so that’s why. I’d love to see it again next year!

Hmmmm, boy, now I’m excited towatch the Rodeo!  =P Maybe my cousing Remy could invite me some time in the future to join her.  Wooh!  That’d be so exciting!

Issues come 2010

498192691_c89d7f5622.jpgMa’am Janette Toral tagged me earlier and it prompted me to write about this topic. Truth be told, I got a lot of insights from the last iBlog Mini held at the College of Law–brief as my stay is–and it prompted me to be more aware of the potentials of blogging during Elections in the country. Personally, as a (hopefully) future media practitioner, one of the fields I want to dabble in is Election reporting. I don’t know why but I get the kicks out of the election season. Maybe because it’s a sign that somehow, even after all the totalitarian measures imposed upon us by the government, the elections still gives us hope and the voice to speak out what’s on top of our heads.

Anyway, going back to Ma’am Janette’s tag, elections are a hotbed of personalities slugging it out to be the next people’s choice. But more vital than personalities, I believe, are issues and their responses to them. One barometer for gauging the viability of a candidate for a certain post is his stance on pertinent issues that concern the nation.

If I were to interview any candidate, here are a string of issues I would want them to have an opinion on:

  • Foreign Policy. It’s as important as any other issue out there. Will the next president still allow himself/herself to be controlled by foreign forces (IMF/WB) or countries (US/Europe)? I believe we’ve had enough of the influence the States has over our domestic policies. It’s time to act on our own. How about JPEPA? OFWs and the Brain Drain? Exchange Rate? Read More

Blogging, etc.

Think Before You Blog

So yeah, basically, once again, just like before, I bailed out on my blogging. Bleh. Hehe. I just couldn’t stand seeing that last entry over and over again for the past week so that basically pressured me to blog tonight. Haha. And what I’m gonna post isn’t very sensical, but a friend interviewed me about blogging for her Media Ethics class, and I’m posting my answers here. Yay, how fun! Now go read. Read More

Sparkle on your wedding day!

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, that’s why a lot of people spend a fortune just sprucing up their wedding days.  Some accentuate everything with diamonds, while some pay close attention to diamond rings to give to their brides.  And don’t forget the engagement rings!  Whatever it is you decide to have, be sure that it both makes you happy and it all makes your wedding day special and worthy of remembering by everyone who will attend.  Best wishes!

Now that you like Backgammon…

…why don’t you try playing backgammon online?  Try it, I just know it’ll be fun!  =D  I don’t know how to play backgammon and I think it’s worth a try, so I’m gonna try to learn how to play it by searching for online backgammon sites on the Web.  I know that there are a lot out there, and I think some may be a bit more fine than the others.  How about you?  Aren’t you interested to learn how to play Backgammon?

X-Ray’s your say?

In our ongoing series of technical professions, let’s now head down to another department:  the x-ray technician.  Being an x-ray technician could be a cool job, save for the fact that you get exposed to a lot of radiation everyday.  But I’m sure there are a lot of safeguards put up for you, so no need to be scared off your wits.  Go on and try to be an x-ray technician now!  =)
